My brother
I googled my brother, Stephen Bint. My sister said he had written a few things for the net, and I wanted to see what I could find.

Stephen is a homeless Englishman who lives in a tent in the woods. He eats out of bins and smokes cigarette butts he finds on the road. Though he once worked for a short time as a C programmer, he prefers to describe himself as a "keen amateur".

He was an author for Linux Gazette and wrote CTIO (probably a bit boring unless you have an interest in Linux!).

He hated the idea of land ownership... really REALLY hated it, which is why he was homeless - he chose to bike around with his tent.

When he was little, he wrote something... Mum hasn't found it again, but it goes something like this:

Yellow
Yellow is the sun.
Yellow is a sunflower.
Yellow is butter.
Yellow is happy.

Yellow is Hepatitis.

*laughs*
When mum finds it, I will go and get it laminated for her.

Stephen had a journal with him. My sister is going to bring it back so that we can read it. I'm really looking forward to it. I wish I had been able to keep in contact with him through email.. but he rarely got access to a computer, so I probably wouldn't have heard from him often anyway.

Y'know, I've actually read the Linux Gazette, as well as read about his CTIO library before. It's a nifty piece of software. He was quite the smart guy.

Yes, really. I'm a big linux nerd. I thought his concept with the CTIO was really interesting and could be quite useful. His idea may not have been fully respected by some because a lot of the weenies in the field tend to act overly righteous and think that using your mouse is weak, but there are a good deal of us with respect for that. It would make some installation applications a lot easier. :)
